Our Nonprofit Goals

How We Change Lives

Foster the Mind is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to transforming mental health care for children and families impacted by abuse, foster care, and other traumatic experiences. We use the latest in brain-based treatments to bring real hope, healing, and lasting change.

Why It Matters

Suffering is Preventable.
Healing Is Possible.

Early trauma leaves a deep imprint on the brain. Abuse, neglect, and disrupted attachments can lead to serious mental health challenges—from PTSD and developmental trauma to anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation.

The cost isn’t just emotional—it’s societal, with long-term impacts on education, relationships, and overall health.

Our Approach

We combine cutting-edge brain mapping and neuromodulation therapies with personalized care that treats the root causes—not just the symptoms—of mental health struggles. Our services can be provided at low or no cost for foster, adopted, and trauma-impacted children and their families.

Every session moves a child closer to mental wholeness—and a life they can truly thrive in.

The C. Family

“As our son progressed through brain training, we saw his insecurity diminish, his mood lift, and his ability to focus improve.”

The S. Family

"The changes in our family have been dramatic... I feel like a better parent—and a better version of myself."

The M. Family

"Today, our daughter is a happy child—and profoundly grateful for a caring team that never gave up on her ability to be whole."
